FAQ
Program

Anyone is allowed to participate in the program! We try to match as many participants up depending on the availability of our tutors for the semester.

The program is 100% free! Our tutors and board members are MIT students committed to teaching and love to help. We currently receive funding through MIT for our resources so our participants do not need to pay in hopes to make it more accessible.

Our program happens twice in a year: one in the fall (Late Sept / Early Oct - Dec) and one in the spring (Late Feb / Early Mar - May).
It is currently fully virtual in hopes to accommodate more participants in terms of commute. During the program, participants are encouraged to use whichever platform services that are most convenient for them, and our tutors will accommodate (Zoom, FaceTime, Google Hangouts, etc). The tutor and the participant will meet weekly depending on agreed times that work best for both you and your tutor. You will discuss these logistics with your tutor upon matching to discuss.

We will accept all applications to our program but acceptance depends on demand and availability of tutors. If there are applicants with close deadlines towards their citizenship exams, we will prioritize them and match them with a tutor who can fit their needs the most.

Applications for our fall program open in September, and in February for our spring program! Follow us on instagram and Facebook for application announcements!
